Kashee Milk Producer Organization Set To Achieve Rs 200 Crore Turnover By FY 2023-24
Varanasi
Kashee Milk Producer Organization has announced that it is on track to achieve a turnover of Rs 200 crore by the end of the financial year 2023-24, just two years after it commenced operations. This remarkable accomplishment represents a six-fold increase in revenue for the organization, which reported a revenue of Rs 37 crore in the first full year of operation in 2022-23, since its launch on March 9, 2022. The organization attributes its rapid growth to the rise of women milk farmers who are part of their network. According to Chief Executive Manvir Singh, over 2,000 women have become lakhpati didis (women with assets worth one lakh) so far, and this number is expected to cross 3,000 by the end of the year. One of the members has earned over Rs 30 lakh for her milk contributions in just 18-19 months of operations. Manvir Singh also revealed that they have set an ambitious target of Rs 300 crore for the next financial year. In addition to bulk milk sales, they plan to enter the market with packed dairy products under the Kashi flavor. The Kashee Milk Producer Organization was established with support from the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and the UP State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), with technical assistance from NDDB Dairy Services (NDS), a subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). KMPO Chairperson Shrimati Sarita Devi emphasized that they have been committed to providing 90% of their total revenue to member farmers in terms of milk prices and incentives. She highlighted that peak milk collection has reached 1.15 lakh liters a day, and they are set to expand their operations to additional districts in the coming year.
