The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) added 14.58 lakh net members in March 2025. This is 1.15% more than in March 2024, showing steady growth. EPFO enrolled 7.54 lakh new members, which is 2.03% more than in February 2025 and 0.98% higher than in March 2024.

This rise is due to more job opportunities, better awareness about employee benefits, and strong outreach efforts by EPFO. The 18-25 age group made up most new subscribers. Around 4.45 lakh members in this group joined in March, making up 58.94% of new members.

Compared to February 2025, this group grew by 4.21%, and by 4.73% from March 2024. Net payroll addition for this age group reached about 6.68 lakh, 6.49% higher than March last year. Most of these are young people getting their first jobs.

In March, 13.23 lakh people rejoined EPFO after leaving earlier. This is 0.39% more than in February 2025 and 12.17% more than March 2024. They switched jobs but chose to transfer their savings instead of withdrawing them, protecting their long-term savings.

About 2.08 lakh new female members joined in March. This is a 0.18% rise over February and a 4.18% rise from March last year. Net addition of female members was around 2.92 lakh, growing 0.78% from last year.
