The Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned the German Ambassador to Tehran, Hans-Udo Muzel, to protest what it deemed a baseless accusation against Tehran in a German court. The move comes in response to the summoning of the Iranian charge d'affaires in Berlin over an alleged plot to carry out an arson attack on a synagogue in Germany. During the meeting, Majid Nili Ahmadabadi, the director general for Western Europe at Iran's Foreign Ministry, emphasized that Iran has a history of promoting coexistence and respecting Abrahamic religions. The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the accusation as unacceptable. The German ambassador, Hans-Udo Muzel, assured that Iran's protest would be conveyed to Berlin promptly. The German Foreign Ministry had summoned the Iranian charge d'affaires on Tuesday following the conviction of a German-Iranian national for conspiring to attack a synagogue in Bochum. The court claimed the plot was linked to Iranian state agencies.
