We are starting a separate school for children suffering from cancer. We have decided to start it near Kidwai Hospital in Bengaluru. Here, along with treatment, education will also be provided, said Education Minister S Madhu Bangarappa.
Giving information at a press conference held at the District Minister's office, he said, we are taking this step to ensure quality, equality and accessibility for children in education. We are implementing this project in collaboration with NGOs. Currently, it is estimated that 3,500 children in our state may have cancer. We are hoping to get 1,500 children. We are starting a school from class 1 to 10. We will be satisfied when this is implemented. The Chief Minister has also supported us for this. We are planning to start the school from this July itself.
Infosys will provide Rs 200 crore to the rural areas of the district. More schools and PU colleges will be started in the state. This will increase the admission to government schools in the future. An education committee is being formed in the state's history. Through this, it will be possible to solve the problems in schools, he said.
