Hundreds of aspirants were left distressed after the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Phase-13 examination, scheduled for Friday, was abruptly cancelled just moments before it was set to begin.
Candidates from across Karnataka had arrived in Hubballi, with many reaching exam centres as early as 7:00 AM, although the exam was slated for 9:00 AM. Shockingly, around 10:00 AM, staff at some centres informed them that the exam had been cancelled — without any prior notice or official explanation.
The sudden cancellation has sparked anger and frustration among aspirants, many of whom had invested time, money, and effort to travel for the test. “We weren’t informed in advance. Who will compensate our loss?” asked a candidate.
With no alternate arrangements, refund assurances, or future dates announced, candidates are demanding accountability from SSC.
