Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave zero marks to NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which has completed eleven years.
He told reporters here on Monday that Modi has survived only through publicity. “Who benefited from demonetisation? Modi had said ‘Achhe Din Aayenge’ (Good days will come) and promised to create two crore jobs every year. The PM claimed he would resolve farmers' issues. Then why did the farmers protest for a year?”
Siddaramaiah said Modi has just completed eleven years, that's all. The PM has not fulfilled the key promises he made. The only achievement of Modi has been completed eleven years in power — nothing more.
Spreading falsehoods through publicity
He said the media gives Modi undue publicity, which in turn promotes false narratives, "When our government announced the guarantee schemes, they claimed these schemes would not be implemented and that the state would go bankrupt. But now, they are imitating the same schemes. Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi have also implemented them.”
The CM said when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he shared 50 per cent of taxes. But after becoming Prime Minister, what has he done? Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced a grant of Rs 5,300 crores to Karnataka but didn’t release it. The 15th Finance Commission recommended Rs 11,495 crores for Karnataka, but that too wasn’t given.
"Karnataka is being treated unfairly, and instead of questioning this injustice, the BJP is spreading misinformation".
