A youngster hanged himself who attended a private school in Krishnapura, close to Surathkal, On Monday. The deceased has been identified as Katipalla resident Harshit (13). Every weekend, he used to visit his grandfather at his home in Soorinje. Harshit visited his grandfather's home on Saturday after school last week as well. He was discovered hanging from a tree on Monday morning, behind his grandfather's home.
The father of Harshith, Sudhakar Devadiga, claimed in a police complaint filed in Surathkal that his son must have taken drastic action because of something that had shattered him. The precise cause is yet unknown.
