The City's South Police arrested the accused who stabbed a salon owner at Bolar on Saturday. Ananda Sapalya (49), a resident of Barimaru in Bantwal currently residing at Bolar, was arrested by the Police.
The victim of the incident, Edwin Vinay Kumar (65), originally from Kerala and residing at Bolar, was attacked by Ananda Sapalya, who used to frequent Edwin's salon and engage in foul language. On Saturday, in an inebriated state, Ananda entered the salon and initiated an argument with Edwin.
Subsequently, Ananda returned to his house, located next to the salon, retrieved a knife, and stabbed Edwin in the chest. Edwin is currently recovering in the hospital and is reportedly out of danger, according to police sources. A case of attempted murder has been registered against Ananda.
