Terming those who does politics over the dead bodies as 'fools', Chamaraja Congress MLA K.Harish Gowda said the people are aware of the facts that led to the Bengaluru stampede in which 11 innocent people lost their lives. Though it was an accidental tragedy, the opposition parties are making it a big issue.
He told reporters here that since all the victims of the stampede were young the state government hiked the compensation amount from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. An unfortunate incident has happened and let the opposition criticise the state government was doing whatever needs to be done to the families of the victims.
Harish Gowda said did the Congress leaders say anything when the stampede at Prayagraj took place in Uttar Pradesh? Did they question the Pahalgam incident that took lives of 27 tourists? An unfortunate incident has taken place for which everyone was feeling sad.
The MLA said Deputy Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar was haunting Union Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy even in dream because of which the latter would always take the name of Shivakumar. "Our DyCM is not at all bothered about Kumaraswamy's baseless talks".
