Invitation for Applications: Pre-recruitment training for PSI examination

The Department of Minority Welfare, through reputed institutions, is offering residential pre-recruitment training for the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) examination to youth from minority communities across the state.

This initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on candidates, ensure a safe and conducive learning environment, and help them achieve better results and secure government employment. The 90-day residential training will be provided to both male and female candidates in the Belagavi and Mysuru revenue divisions.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age.

Educational Qualification: Must have obtained a degree from a UGC-recognized university as of the last date for submitting the application.

Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Karnataka.

Community: Must belong to one of the minority communities recognized by the state government — Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, or Parsi.

Certificates Required: Valid caste and income certificates as per the prescribed format must be submitted.

Physical Standards:

For Men: Minimum height – 168 cm, minimum chest (unexpanded) – 76 cm, and minimum weight – as per standard norms.

For Women: Minimum height – 157 cm, minimum weight – 45 kg.

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be selected based on merit (marks obtained in their degree).
