On Thursday, the Karnataka High Court ruled that suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, facing multiple sexual assault allegations, could only access digital evidence related to the complainant in his current case, not that of other women. Revanna had sought to examine all evidence collected by the State Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the cases against him, but Justice M. Nagaprasanna rejected the request, emphasizing that the law would not be bent in his favor.

Revanna, charged in multiple cases of rape and criminal intimidation, argued that the evidence was not necessarily obscene. However, the court highlighted the need to protect the privacy of other victims. The prosecution claimed the petition was a delay tactic. Revanna had already received evidence for four cases but sought over 15,000 images and 2,000 videos from his driver's phone, which contained details of other victims. The court ruled that he could only examine evidence related to his current case.
