Ganapathy Seer's 83rd birthday, RBI releases special commemorative coin

The 83rd birthday celebrations of Avadhoota Datta Peetham pontiff Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji were held with grandeur.

On this occasion, rituals including Rudra Homa, Ayushya Homa, and Rudra Abhisheka were performed at the Sri Datta Venkateshwara Temple  on Monday.

Following this, Swamiji was taken in a ceremonious procession from the prayer hall to the Nada Mantapa in a beautifully decorated chariot.

At the Nada Mantapa, a Sri Chakra Puja was conducted. Later, junior pontiff of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, performed a Paada Puja to Swamiji and offered floral tributes.

In a special highlight of the celebration, the Reserve Bank of India released commemorative coins in honor of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji’s birthday. The coins were presented to Swamiji by P Vijayalakshmi, Manager of RBI Hyderabad branch, marking a unique and memorable moment.

Addressing devotees, the senior seer said Swamiji said that they all must protect Sanatana Dharma. God protects those who walk the path of dharma and punishes those who indulge in adharma. Hardships come and go, but with faith and prayer to God, everything will be resolved.

After the Paada Puja, titles and honors were conferred as part of the "Chaitanya Archana – Datta Peetha Honor Ceremony. The honorees included Veda Nidhi to Sri Vishnubhatla Lakshmi Narayana Ganapati, Shastra Nidhi,  Kuppa Vishwanatha Shastri, Nada Nidhi to Pandit Vinayak Torvi, Nada Nidhi to Vidwan Shashank Subramanyam,  Natya Nidhi to Vidushi TS Shri Lakshmi, Asthana Shilpi, Krishnamurthy, Jayalakshmi Puraskar, Gangavaram Vedavati, Geeta Punjal, Datta Peetha Bandhu, Kamal Kapoor, Sampath Kumar Achar, Kanteti Srinivas, S Nagaraj of Mysuru, and Sasya Bandhu Suchita Reddy

Swamiji also introduced the “Natya Nidhi” award for the first time, underscoring his support for the arts and cultural preservation.
