A review meeting on the implementation of guarantee schemes in Ron Taluk was held at Hirehal Gram Panchayat on Thursday. The session was chaired by Sangangouda (Mithun) J. Patil, President of the Ron Taluk Guarantee Schemes Committee, with B. B. Asooti, Chairperson of the Gadag District Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, also in attendance.
During the meeting, B. B. Asooti emphasized that schemes like Gruha Lakshmi must reach eligible women without delay. He instructed officials to update beneficiary records in cases where the original householder has passed away, ensuring the rightful person in the family is registered. He stressed that no deserving family should be missed and directed Anganwadi workers to conduct thorough household surveys.
For the Anna Bhagya scheme, Asooti directed timely distribution of rice and jowar to all beneficiaries and warned against illegal grain sales in black markets.
He asked officials to provide door-to-door support for registrations under the Gruha Jyothi scheme and to visit degree colleges to encourage students to enroll in the Yuva Nidhi program.
Speaking on the Shakti scheme, which benefits women through free bus travel, Asooti suggested increasing the number of buses so students from villages can travel to towns easily. He also called for improvements in public amenities—clean bus stands, better seating for women, well-lit and ventilated child care centers, and hygienic toilets.
Officials from all five guarantee schemes and district and taluk committee members were present. Asooti concluded by urging everyone to ensure 100% implementation through active coordination and regular reviews.
