HUBBALLI:

In a bid to empower the unemployed and promote self-reliance, the Riber Foundation and Safa Baitul Mall jointly distributed 50 wheelbarrows to selected beneficiaries from across the city. The initiative, held at the New Danish School grounds in Madani Colony, JP Nagar, aimed to provide livelihood opportunities to the poorest sections of society.

Under the leadership of Foundation President Arif Raichur, the organisation identified eligible unemployed individuals through a detailed survey. Of the 50 pushcarts distributed, 20 were for vegetable vending, 20 for fruit vending, and 10 for selling plastic goods. The beneficiaries also received initial capital support.

Raichur emphasised the Foundation’s inclusive approach, stating that beneficiaries from all communities—Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, and Jains—were selected without bias. Special attention was given to disabled individuals and widows.

“Riber Foundation and Safa Baitul Mall have been involved in social service since 2019. Our mission is to promote self-employment and support education for poor children. This distribution is the result of 90 days of dedicated effort. We hope the beneficiaries use this opportunity to build a better life and help others in turn,” said Raichur.

Dr. Azad, also present at the event, appreciated the Foundation’s continued service. “Without spending a single rupee, the identified poor have been provided with pushcarts and essential goods to begin earning immediately. This is a true service to humanity,” he said.

The programme has been widely praised for offering dignity through employment and setting an example of community-driven development.
