Ahmedabad plane tragedy: Vedike members hold candle light vigil to pay tributes

A candlelight vigil was held on D. Devaraj Urs Road by the Karnataka Hitarakshana Vedike to pay tribute to the passengers who lost their lives in the tragic Air India flight accident. The flight was en route from Ahmedabad to London.

Speaking on the occasion, Karnataka Hitarakshana Vedike President Vinay Kumar expressed that the tragedy has caused deep shock and confusion.

"We pray that the souls of those who lost their lives in the accident rest in eternal peace. May God grant strength to the bereaved families to bear the pain of this loss. We also pray for the speedy recovery of those injured and receiving treatment in hospitals. A thorough investigation be conducted into this tragedy at the earliest to know the reasons for the mishap" he said.
