Ballari Garments Export Cluster Private Limited has been allotted 50 acres of land in Survey No. 122/A of Aladahalli village from KIADB for setting up a Jeans Textile Park. Minister of Textiles, Sugarcane Development and Sugar and Agriculture Marketing Sivananda S Pati said in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.
Answering the question of member VM Satish about the dot mark, he said that the initial steps required to establish a textile park after obtaining certificates from various departments and approval of detailed project report from KIADB Bangalore, steps will be taken to implement the park.
He said that by establishing jeans park, all the units will be installed in one place, increasing the quality of products, reducing production cost, transportation cost, turnaround time, and providing jeans products to the market at competitive prices, and the local unemployed youth, men and women will be directly and indirectly employed.
