The 25th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle was celebrated nationwide as the Tiranga Cycling Rally, with over 15,000 participants across 5,000 locations. The event, held on World Bicycle Day, honored India’s armed forces and promoted fitness and environmental awareness.

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya led 1,500 cyclists in Delhi, joined by Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt, wrestler Sarita Mor, and actress Sharvari, who was named ‘Young Fit India Icon’.

Special rallies were held across Jammu and Kashmir, organized by Khelo India and SAI centres. Mandaviya highlighted the event’s tribute to soldiers, especially after Operation Sindoor.

Key initiatives were launched: a Fit India Newsletter and a Carbon Credit feature on the Fit India app to track eco-friendly efforts. The app records cycling speed and distance to show carbon savings.

Olympians Dipa Karmakar, Deepika Kumari, Sumit Antil, and others joined events in Agartala, Sonepat, Bengaluru, and Rohtak. State ministers from Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh also participated.

Sharvari shared memories of childhood cycling, calling it an honor to support soldiers. Yogeshwar Dutt called the campaign a link between health and national pride. Sarita Mor and Saba Karim praised cycling’s benefits for fitness and the planet.

The rally united citizens in patriotism, health, and sustainability.
