Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15% of his match fee for an aggressive send-off after dismissing Ben Duckett on day four of the ongoing Test match against England at Lord’s.

The incident occurred during Siraj’s fiery opening spell where he removed both Duckett and Ollie Pope. After taking Duckett’s wicket, Siraj celebrated very close to the batter and made slight contact as Duckett walked back to the pavilion.

The ICC said Siraj broke Article 2.5 of its Code of Conduct, which covers actions that could provoke an aggressive reaction from a dismissed batter. Along with the fine, Siraj received one demerit point – his second in two years. If a player reaches four points in 24 months, they face a suspension.

The Test remains tightly contested, with India ending day four at 58/4, needing 135 more runs to win. KL Rahul (33*) and Rishabh Pant are set to resume on day five. Allrounder Washington Sundar expressed confidence, predicting an Indian win just after lunch.
