Ghaziabad
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a major data centre in Ghaziabad, projecting it as a key step toward achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
Addressing the gathering, the CM said, “This data centre will pave the way for an India aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. The foundation laid today reflects our commitment to a future ready digital economy.” He highlighted the importance of such infrastructure projects in propelling India into the ranks of advanced nations by the time it celebrates 100 years of independence.
The Chief Minister also spoke on the state’s efforts in agriculture, dairy, and animal husbandry sectors. Speaking a day earlier, he had noted the transformation brought by initiatives like the ‘Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan,’ stating that the state’s fertile land and natural resources had long been underutilized due to the negligence of previous administrations.
He criticized earlier governments for having an “anti-farmer mindset” and failing to recognize the potential in the agri-based sectors. According to Adityanath, policies were once created for political convenience rather than farmer welfare, often marked by corruption and poor execution.
“After 2014, under PM Modi’s leadership, the change is visible. Farmers are now more prosperous. They are not forced into suicide or migration,” he added, highlighting the turnaround in rural livelihoods and overall development. The Ghaziabad data centre is part of a broader digital infrastructure initiative aimed at boosting technological self-reliance and economic growth in Uttar Pradesh.
