In response to the violence that occurred in Sambhal on November 24, the Uttar Pradesh Police is strengthening security in the region. As part of these efforts, construction of a new police outpost will soon begin opposite the Shahi Jama Masjid, officials confirmed on Friday. The site, located in the Kot Garvi area of the city, has already undergone a survey, and the necessary measurements for the outpost have been completed, said Additional Superintendent of Police Shrish Chandra.

Though the officer did not disclose the name of the outpost, he emphasized that its establishment aims to improve security. Once completed, the outpost will be staffed around the clock to maintain a constant police presence in the area.

The move comes after a violent clash on November 24 in Kot Garvi, where four people were killed and several others, including security personnel, were injured. The violence erupted during a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid, sparked by a petition claiming that a Harihar temple once stood at the location.
