Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized the Congress party during a public rally in Khajuraho on Wednesday, accusing them of not giving credit to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for his vital contributions to water conservation in India. He claimed that despite Babasaheb’s significant role in guiding the nation’s water policies, Congress never acknowledged his efforts.

Modi said, "After independence, it was Babasaheb Ambedkar who shaped India's approach to water resources and conservation. Today, the Central Water Commission owes its existence to him." He pointed out that Congress governments failed to address India’s water crisis, especially in areas like Bundelkhand, where farmers have struggled for water for generations.

The Prime Minister further criticized Congress for focusing on announcements rather than implementation. "Congress made promises, but people never saw the benefits. Our government, on the other hand, is delivering real results, like the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which is helping farmers in Madhya Pradesh with Rs 12,000," he said.

Modi also marked the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, praising his leadership and vision. He emphasized that under BJP rule, the government is prioritizing long-term solutions like river-linking projects to tackle water challenges.

The Prime Minister ended his speech by reinforcing the BJP’s commitment to good governance and public welfare, which he believes is the key reason for the party's continued support in Madhya Pradesh and nationwide.
