The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) announced on Thursday that it has facilitated the transfer of 10 advanced ISRO-developed technologies to six Indian companies. These transfers were formalised through Technology Transfer Agreements (TTAs) signed between NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), IN-SPACe, and the recipient firms at the IN-SPACe headquarters in Ahmedabad.

The aim is to empower private companies to use ISRO’s innovations for both space-related and commercial applications, boosting self-reliance and reducing dependence on imported technologies.

IN-SPACe Chairman Dr. Pawan Goenka said the move is a vital step toward encouraging private sector involvement and commercialisation of space technologies in India.

Two key inertial sensors – the Laser Gyroscope and Ceramic Servo Accelerometer – were given to Zetatek Technologies, Hyderabad, which specialises in Inertial Navigation System testing and calibration. Three technologies related to satellite ground stations were transferred to Hyderabad-based Avantel and Jisnu Communications, strengthening India's capabilities in communications and defence.

Two geospatial tools developed for crop yield estimation and pest forecasting by ISRO’s Space Applications Centre were transferred to Amnex Info Technologies, Ahmedabad, to assist in agriculture.

A portable bathymetry system for water monitoring, developed by NRSC/ISRO, was given to Jalkruti Water Solutions for UAV-based water resource management. Meanwhile, a flame-proof ceramic coating from VSSC/ISRO was transferred to Ramdev Chemicals for broader industrial use.

IN-SPACe Director Rajeev Jyoti assured that ISRO, IN-SPACe, and NSIL will provide full support to ensure these technologies are successfully adopted by the industry.
