Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed that all construction work on the Navi Mumbai International Airport be completed by September 30. During a site visit on Saturday, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, he reviewed ongoing progress and emphasized the urgency of the project.
“The government has instructed that the number of workers be doubled or tripled to meet the target. The physical progress of the airport stands at 94%,” Fadnavis told reporters. He noted that while the terminal building is complete, interior and exterior ceiling work is currently underway at a rapid pace.
