Dhami urges swift state action post-NITI meet

Following the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the state’s Chief Secretary to formulate a time-bound and practical strategy to implement the key points discussed during the meeting. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for coordinated action at the state level to align with the Centre’s broader vision of a “Developed India @ 2047”.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Dhami stressed that the state’s development plans should reflect Modi’s vision and called for seamless coordination with central government departments. He instructed officials to ensure constant monitoring of the action plan and urged them to promote transparency, accountability, and active public participation throughout the implementation process.

“The government must work at every level to ensure public involvement and clear accountability. Our full support goes towards building a self-reliant and developed nation,” the CMO stated.

The Chief Minister also posted on social media platform X, reinforcing his commitment to effectively execute the suggestions and instructions received during the meeting.

Prime Minister Modi, addressing the gathering of Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors from 24 states and seven Union Territories, reiterated the collective responsibility of making India a “Viksit Bharat” before 2047. The meeting began with a moment of silence to honour victims of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and concluded with a unified call to transform every state, city, and village.
