Delhi currently has 104 active Covid-19 cases, according to official data. Health officials noted that 24 patients have recovered in the past week. Last week, the number of active cases was 99, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Covid-19 dashboard. A senior Delhi health official confirmed these numbers and said the situation is under control but is being closely monitored for any sudden rise.

There have been no Covid-related deaths reported in Delhi recently. On Friday, the Delhi government issued an advisory asking hospitals to stay prepared by ensuring beds, oxygen, essential medicines, and working equipment like ventilators and BiPAP machines are available.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reassured the public on Monday, saying there is no need to panic despite the rise in cases. Speaking to reporters, she emphasized that hospitals have the necessary facilities and that the government is ready to handle any increase in cases. We have analysed the situation, and there is no cause for panic, she said.

Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh stated that 23 Covid cases were reported until Thursday. The government is checking if these infected individuals had recently traveled outside Delhi. He mentioned that all cases were found through private labs and described the current Covid variant as having mild, flu-like symptoms. He also stressed that there is no reason for worry at this time.
