With a large number of Kanwar Yatra devotees arriving ahead of Shivratri, the Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday announced traffic restrictions and diversions to manage congestion and ensure public safety. From 9 am to midnight, buses and commercial vehicles will be restricted on several roads, especially near Hanuman Mandir in the Yamuna Bazar area.

Heavy traffic is expected on routes like Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Yudhister Setu, and Boulevard Road. Buses and commercial vehicles will not be allowed on Yudhister Setu between Tis Hazari and Shahdara during the restricted hours.

Key diversion points include Kashmiri Gate Metro Station Gate No. 5, Boulevard Road, ISBT exit gate, and GPO Chowk. Vehicles from Hanuman Mandir to Tis Hazari will be rerouted via Ring Road, Raj Niwas Marg, and Dr. Karnwal Road. Similarly, traffic from Tis Hazari to Yudhister Setu will be diverted via Outer Ring Road and NH-24. Commuters are advised to plan accordingly.
