The upcoming Tamil film VendhuThanindhathuKaadu had its trailer and audio launch through a grand event on September 2 in Chennai. The film is directed by GauthamVasudev Menon and it stars Simbu and Siddhi Idani in the lead roles. The movie has a huge expectation as Simbu has gone through a major transfirmation physically and it is also a movie that director Gautham Menon has done much different from his style of stories. The director at the launch also revealed that there are plans of part 2 of the movie and it will be considered depending on the success of the first part of the film.
Though VendhuThanindhathuKaadu was directed by GauthamVasudev Menon, many would have understood that the film does not speak his style. Speaking at the launch Gautham Menon stated that the story was written by Jeyamohan and he chose to direct it because he wanted to do something different and bring the life of the characters to life through the movie. Gautham also said that it is a completely new genre for him. He also added that this film of his has a different dialect of Tamil.
Apart from the original trailer that has got more than 16 million views in 14 hours, actor Kamal Haasan also launched the trailer of the film in Metaverse which is a different version. VendhuThanindhathuKaadu is the first film that had its trailer released on the Metaverse. Kamal Haasan also revealed that he will soon be teaming up with GauthamVasudev Menon as they have plans of VettaiyaduVillaiyadu 2.
