The Sri Raghavendra Chitravani organization has announced its 2023 annual awards. This event, dedicated to honoring excellence in the Kannada film industry, is set to recognize key figures who have made significant contributions to the art of cinema.
The awards were instituted by DV Sudheendra, the late pioneer publicist in the Kannada film industry. Sudheendra dedicated 25 years to Sri Raghavendra Chitravani, making the organization a significant force in the industry. The awards ceremony, marking the 48th anniversary of the organization and the 23rd year of accolades, is scheduled to take place on January 27th.
The late D Ramu has been announced as the winner of the Outstanding Film Producer Award and Muralidhar Khajane as the winner of the Distinguished Film Journalist Award. Both these awards are instituted by Raghavendra Chitravani. The
Renowned playback singer, Hemant Kumar will be presented with the Dr. Rajkumar Memorial Award, presented by the family of Dr. Rajkumar while director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar will receive the R. Sheshadri Memorial Award presented by Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. Jayalakshmi P from Dubai has won the Jayamala H.M. Ramachandra Award.
Additionally, Jo Costa has been selected as the Best Music Director, Hemant Rao as the Best Story Writer and Dhananjay as the Best Lyricist. Special recognition will be given to national award-winning individuals, namely BN Subrahmanyam, Rakshit Shetty, and Anirudh Jatkar.
