Shilpa Shetty Kundra is making her return to Kannada cinema with the upcoming film KD – The Devil, where she plays the character Satyavati. Speaking at the teaser launch event in Mumbai, Shilpa revealed that the role holds personal significance, as it’s inspired by her mother’s style from the 1970s. Satyavati is an ode to my mother—her bouffant hairstyles, polka-dot sarees, and timeless grace, she said.

This marks Shilpa’s first time working on a retro-themed film, and she shared how refreshing the experience was. Known for her glamorous roles, the actress said it was a joy to explore something different. It’s rare to find a story that lets you revisit an era with so much authenticity, she added.

Shilpa also took to Instagram to unveil the teaser, captioning it, The rise of the most violent chapter begins. KDTeaser will reignite vintage fury on a scale never seen before.

She praised the film’s team for their dedication and heart. It’s not just about big budgets or grand sets. What makes a film truly shine is passion, honesty, and soul—and that’s what KD – The Devil has, she noted.

Starring Dhruva Sarja in the lead, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and V Ravichandran in pivotal roles.
