Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Maalik continues to build excitement with its teasers, trailer, and now a powerful new track titled ‘Raaj Karega Maalik’. The song, released by Tips Films on Instagram, perfectly captures the film’s intense gangster vibe. Sung by Akasa and MTV Hustle winner MC Square, the track features high-energy beats and aggressive rap that match the film’s raw tone.
The music, composed by the popular duo Sachin-Jigar, adds further intensity to the visuals. Rajkummar Rao’s fierce expressions and MC Square’s hard-hitting rap blend seamlessly to deliver an adrenaline-filled sequence. Manushi Chhillar also impresses with her captivating dance moves and stunning screen presence, adding glamour to the gritty backdrop. The video features both actors in solo performances, followed by an energetic dance together.
Set in 1980s Allahabad, Maalik tells the story of a ruthless gangster, played by Rajkummar, who is determined to rise to political power. This marks a strong shift from his recent comedy roles in films like Stree and Bhool Chuk Maaf. The story explores themes of ambition, betrayal, and survival in a world ruled by violence.
The cast also includes Manushi Chhillar, Saurabh Shukla, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Prosenjit Chatterjee, who plays a determined cop out to stop Rajkummar’s rise. Produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani under Tips Films and Northern Lights Films, Maalik is set to hit theatres on July 11, 2025.
