Director Maari’s much-awaited romantic comedy, Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polishetty and Meenakshi Chaudhary, is set to release on January 14, 2026, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival. The production house, Sithara Entertainments, confirmed the release date with a fun message on X, highlighting Naveen’s return with a perfect family entertainer for the festive season.

The film has been in the spotlight since its announcement in January 2022, with its title and first look revealing a full comedy. Naveen Polishetty plays Raju, a proud and quirky groom preparing for his wedding, promising plenty of laughs.

Last December, the makers shared a hilarious teaser called a ‘Pre-wedding video’ on Naveen’s birthday. It showed wedding guests eager to enjoy sweets served on golden plates, only for a strict supervisor to stop them because the Kaju Kathili had silver foil instead of gold. The humor continued with Raju pretending to talk with industrialist Mukesh Ambani about wedding plans, teasing the film’s quirky tone.

Initially planned for a 2025 release, the movie’s launch has now been postponed to January 2026. The film features cinematography by J Yuvraj and music composed by Mickey J Meyer. It is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Fans eagerly await this family-friendly comedy, ready to enjoy Naveen’s charming and humorous new role during the festive Sankranthi season.
