An interesting development has occurred in Sandalwood. The producers of two hit Kannada films; namely Ravichandran AJ, producer of Blink, and Rajesh Keelambi, producer of Shakahari, have come together to release of the promising film Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana (EAK), the film starring Diganth, that had faced a little problem with its release.
EAK, literally meaning, ‘The Left Hand Causes Accidents’ is the directorial debut of Samarth Kadkol. Though the film was completed and had created a buzz, its release plans were not progressing smoothly. Now Ravichandran AJ has stepped in as distributor and Rajesh Keelambi has joined the film as a co-producer.
Ravichandran AJ will distribute the film under his banner, Janani Pictures. Rajesh Keelambi, who hadn't taken up a new project since Shakahaari, expressed his enthusiasm, suggesting the film's strong content convinced him to come aboard. "After Shakahari, I wasn't planning to co-produce a film that was already completed or awaiting release," said Keelambi. "But the content and quality of Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana are outstanding. I believe this film will enhance my production house's value. When we produced Blink and Shakahaari, we were both relatively new producers. Now, our combined experience will be a great asset to this film." Keelambi also noted he is an admirer of lead actor Diganth.
Ravichandran and Keelambi took the decision to be part of the film after watching it. They were convinced that it was a good product that deserved support.
Director Samarth Kadkol expressed his happiness with the development: "I am extremely pleased that the producers of two super-hit films, Blink and Shakahari have collaborated for my film. Their joining hands to release EAK brings immense strength to our team."
Apart from Diganth, the film also features Nidhi Subbaiah and Dhanu Harsha as the female leads.
