National Award-winning director Viral Shah is set to bring an emotional story to the screen with Dil Dosti Aur Dogs, a film that explores the deep bond between humans and dogs. Starring Neena Gupta and Sharad Kelkar, the film will premiere on Jio Hotstar on February 28.
Set in the picturesque landscapes of Goa, the film highlights the emotional impact of canine companionship on human relationships and well-being. Along with the lead cast, the film features Masumeh Makhija, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Keerti Kelkar, Tinu Anand, Ehan Bhat, and Tridha Chaudhary in key roles.
Neena Gupta plays Bethany Lawrence, a woman who rediscovers life through an unexpected companion. “Playing this character was a deeply emotional experience for me,” she shared. “She has distanced herself from the world, but through this journey, she learns that life still has so much to offer.”
Sharad Kelkar, who appears alongside his wife Keerti Kelkar, spoke about the emotional depth of his role. “Sharing screen space with Keerti was special, but what truly moved me was my bond with my on-screen daughter. It made me reflect on my real-life relationship with my daughter.”
