KSRTC's newly launched Ambari Utsav sleeper buses have received huge demand and are running full on a daily basis. A total of 20 buses have been started by KSRTC and they are operating on nine routes. More than 4700 km are operating on an average daily. Passengers prefer a comfortable journey in luxury buses and all the buses are running full. It started operations from February 26 and is collecting an average revenue of ₹78.15 per kilometer. It has brought more than ₹4 crore in revenue to the corporation so far. There are regular buses from Bangalore to Ernakulam, Thrissur, Hyderabad, Panaji, Chennai and Murudeshwar. Passengers are mostly using sleeper buses to go to distant towns. Ambari Utsav buses are bringing revenue to the corporation. This means that there is a demand for sleeper buses. KSRTC officials said that the new luxury buses purchased in the coming days will be used only for sleeper services. He explained that the operation of air-conditioned electric buses is also getting good response from the passengers.
