The annual horticultural and gardening exhibition, Sasya Santhe, came to a close on Saturday at the University of Horticultural Sciences (UHS) campus, located along Vidyaranyapura-Yelahanka Road in Bengaluru.

The three-day event, which began on July 10, attracted hundreds of gardening enthusiasts and nature lovers. Organized jointly by the Regional Horticultural Research and Extension Centre (RHREC) and the College of Horticulture, Bengaluru, the exhibition-cum-sale showcased a wide range of plants, seeds, tools, and organic products.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore and purchase an impressive variety of gardening essentials, including seed kits, saplings, grafts, vermicompost, potting materials, and bio pest control products. A special focus was given to medicinal and aromatic plants, drawing significant interest from both home gardeners and professionals. Additionally, stalls selling fresh flowers, organic farm produce, and natural plant nutrients added to the vibrant experience.

The event also served as an educational platform where attendees learned more about sustainable gardening practices, composting methods, and integrated pest management. Organizers ensured free entry for all visitors, encouraging greater public engagement with environmental awareness and home-based horticulture.

With the exhibition concluding at 6 PM on Saturday, organizers termed it a resounding success, citing strong footfall, enthusiastic participation, and increased demand for organic gardening solutions as key takeaways. Sasya Santhe has established itself as a much-anticipated event in Bengaluru’s horticultural calendar, bringing the gardening community together and promoting eco-friendly lifestyles.
