The Karnataka Food Department has announced that ration card holders can add new members, remove names, or update details on their ration cards until February 28. This initiative aims to help families make necessary corrections without hassle.
Applicants can visit Bangalore One or Cyber Centers to submit requests for new cards or member additions. Alternatively, they can apply online through the official website ahara.kar.nic.in. The process is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM until the deadline. To add a wife’s name, applicants need an Aadhaar card, marriage certificate, and parents’ ration card. For children, a birth certificate and parents’ Aadhaar card are required. Online Application Process: Visit the official website and log in or create an ID.
Select the E-Services tab and choose the Correction/New Member Addition option. Fill in the required details and upload scanned copies of necessary documents. Submit the form and note the registration number for tracking. Once verified, the updated ration card will be issued. Cardholders can collect the updated card from their nearest ration shop. This opportunity ensures families can keep their ration records accurate and avoid future inconveniences.
