A National Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on July 12 at the Doddaballapur court, where various pending and pre-litigation cases can be amicably resolved, said K.B. Geetha, Principal District and Sessions Judge of Bengaluru Rural, during a press conference.
She urged litigants to make full use of this opportunity to settle their disputes easily, quickly, and without high expenses, through mutual compromise. The Lok Adalat will include sitting judges and experienced lawyers serving as conciliators to help reach amicable settlements.
This initiative will take place not only at the district level but also in every taluk court across the district. Cases resolved in the Lok Adalat cannot be appealed again, as the decisions made through mutual agreement are considered final and binding, she clarified.
