Bengaluru’s Namma Metro has turned into one of the most expensive public transit systems in India after witnessing a steep increase in its fares in February, which has drawn criticism from commuters and the general public.

A few days ago the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) took the decision to increase the metro fare. After the revision in far, the minimum fare stood at Rs 10 while the maximum fare was revised from Rs 60 to Rs 90, which is almost 50% increase.
