In a bid to accelerate development in the Kengeri constituency, MLA S.T. Somashekar announced the launch of several key infrastructure projects, including road asphalting, drinking water supply, internal drainage systems, street lighting, and the establishment of a clean drinking water unit across various areas.
Speaking at the launch of drainage work near Appugudi in the Gyan Bharathi Layout of the Yeshwantpur assembly constituency, Somashekar highlighted that 80 percent of the area has already been developed. He urged officials and contractors to expedite the remaining work, emphasizing the importance of both speed and quality to ensure smooth public movement and enhanced living conditions for residents.
The newly inaugurated projects include drainage and construction work near the Kalikambha Temple in Kengeri Suburban, along with the installation of 450 mm pipes for drinking water from Hoysala Circle to NPS School Road. Additionally, a 750 mm pipeline has been set up to connect the area near Dubasipalya Lake to NPS School.
The event was attended by former Zilla Panchayat President Shivamadaya, Ward Presidents T. Prabhakar, Mahendra Kiran, and several other local leaders and officials, including EE Mallikarjun, AEE Deepak, AE Rahul, and others, who expressed support for the ongoing efforts to improve the constituency’s infrastructure.
