Motorists who regularly use the Hebbal flyover are being asked to pay attention because the flyover will be closed for extensive maintenance starting Wednesday.

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) plans to start construction on the flyover, adding two new lanes, which will require it to be closed for four months. During this time, traffic will mainly be affected on the loops connecting to K.R. Puram. Starting Wednesday, only two-wheelers will be allowed from the Nagavara side towards the flyover.

Alternatively, vehicles from the Nagavara Outer Ring Road side can turn right under the flyover at Mekhri Circle, make a U-turn near Kodigehalli junction, and proceed towards the city via the service road and Hebbal flyover ramp. Commuters heading towards the city from K.R. Puram, Nagavara, IOC Mukunda Theatre, or Lingarajapura flyover are advised to use Tannery Road to bypass the closed Hebbal flyover.
