The Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, participated in the auspicious commencement of the Shri Ram Katha Gnana program organized by the Shri Ram Parivar Durga Puja Committee in Bengaluru. The spiritual event was graced by the revered presence of Param Pujya Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Ji.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot lauded the Committee for organizing the Shri Ram Katha Jnan Yagna, calling it a noble initiative aimed at universal welfare and global peace. "When Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya narrates the Ram Katha, it transcends storytelling—it becomes a divine journey of devotion, purification, and cultural enrichment," he said.
The Governor described Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya as a legendary saint, scholar, poet, spiritual leader, and social reformer who has made unparalleled contributions to the promotion of Sanatan Dharma, Sanskrit, Hindi literature, and Vedic knowledge. He praised the Jagadguru’s extraordinary accomplishments despite his visual disability, highlighting his sharp memory, linguistic proficiency, eloquence, and creativity. “His life is a true inspiration for all,” he remarked, noting the Jagadguru’s receipt of the Padma Vibhushan for his exemplary service to the nation and society.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot also acknowledged the Jagadguru’s role in advancing inclusive education through the establishment of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University, the first university in India dedicated exclusively to higher education for students with disabilities.
