The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has introduced a streamlined system to facilitate the issuance of final e-Khatas. Property owners can now apply for their e-Khatas immediately, with approvals expected within two days, according to Munish Moudgil, Special Commissioner, Revenue Department, BBMP. Currently, around 25 lakh draft e-Khatas are available online under BBMP’s jurisdiction. Of the 2.87 lakh final e-Khata applications submitted by citizens, 2.71 lakh have already been processed and issued. All Assistant Revenue Officer (ARO) offices are equipped to handle e-Khata applications, ensuring a swift resolution process. On average, pending applications are cleared within a day, with the disposal rate exceeding the number of new applications received daily. Citizens can apply for e-Khatas online at BBMP E-Aasthi Portal. There is no need to visit corporation offices after submission, as AROs and case workers will review and process applications within the stipulated timeframe. To ensure efficiency, BBMP has implemented a daily virtual review meeting from 9 AM to 9:30 AM with officials from all eight zones and 64 AROs. These sessions will monitor application processing and provide necessary directives to expedite e-Khata issuance.
