BBMP Commissioner N. Maheshwar Rao conducted an inspection at Summanahalli Circle to assess various civic issues, including the condition of pedestrian walkways, the local bus stand, and traffic-related infrastructure. The visit was aimed at understanding on-ground challenges and identifying immediate solutions to address public grievances.

Local MLA K. Gopalaiah accompanied the commissioner during the visit and urged BBMP officials to act swiftly to resolve the long-standing issues faced by residents and daily commuters. He emphasized the need for immediate improvements in pedestrian safety, public transport facilities, and overall urban infrastructure in the area.

Chief Commissioner Shashi Kumar, along with senior officials including Suralkar, Vikas, Kishore, and others, also joined the inspection. The team closely reviewed several problem areas and interacted with local stakeholders to understand their concerns. Commissioner Maheshwar Rao assured that BBMP would prioritize the issues raised and initiate appropriate measures without delay. He directed concerned departments to prepare an action plan for immediate and long-term solutions, particularly focusing on the improvement of pedestrian pathways and accessibility at the bus stand.

Residents in the area have long complained about the lack of basic civic amenities, frequent traffic congestion, and poor road conditions. The visit by senior officials has raised hopes of timely intervention and better coordination among departments to bring about visible improvements. The BBMP’s proactive step is being viewed as a positive move toward addressing urban infrastructure concerns in neglected pockets of the city.
