Punjab’s new industrial policy is expected to be finalized by November 2025, said Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora on Saturday. The policy aims to boost ease of doing business and strengthen various industrial sectors in the state.

To develop the policy, the government has formed several sectoral committees made up of industry experts. These committees will advise the government on tailored strategies for different industries, keeping in mind Punjab’s economic landscape.

The committees will study policies from other states and prepare customized industrial frameworks aimed at making Punjab’s industrial environment more competitive and sustainable.

The members come from diverse sectors and vary in size and location to represent broad views. Their main task is to submit detailed recommendations by October 1, 2025.

The government may add more members to the committees as needed. The committees will function as think tanks to ensure sector-specific needs are addressed.

Minister Arora emphasized that these efforts will help Punjab attract investments, improve business conditions, and support industrial growth across the state.

The new policy is part of the state’s larger plan to modernize its industrial base and create more job opportunities.
