At the World Economic Forum, Infosys announced a major expansion of its Pocharam IT campus in Hyderabad, expected to create 17,000 new jobs. The company will invest Rs 750 crore in the project, which includes building new IT facilities to accommodate 10,000 employees. This move reflects Infosys’ commitment to enhancing Telangana's tech ecosystem and aligns with the state's goals of fostering innovation and driving economic growth. The Pocharam campus, already one of Infosys’ largest in India with over 35,000 employees, further strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a global IT hub.

Wipro also shared plans to expand its Hyderabad presence, revealing a new IT center at its Gopanapalli campus that will generate 5,000 jobs. This expansion highlights Wipro’s confidence in Hyderabad’s growing role in the global tech sector.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) made a landmark announcement, committing Rs 60,000 crore to expand its data center infrastructure in Telangana. This investment builds on AWS’s previous Rs 36,000 crore investment in the state, positioning Hyderabad as India’s leading data center hub. The expansion aims to support the growth of cloud services, artificial intelligence, and advanced computing.

These major investments underscore Telangana's rise as a key tech destination, attracting global companies through its proactive policies and focus on nurturing talent.
