Social sensibility should be present in all literature, Senior literary Scholar P Baragur Ramchandrappa said that only when the work is translated based on social and environmental identity, the work will have socio-cultural motivation.

He was speaking at the book release programmeof BR Jayaramaraje Urs’s translated work Hena Horuvavana Vrittanta organized by Gundappa Kannada Adhyayana Kendra on Thursday.

Jayaramaraje Urs is the co-ordinator of the code of conduct. Those who surrendered the rule to the lap of policy and did social work. He opined that such a work can be born only when the root of society is mixed in writing.

If translated on the basis of a dictionary, it will be a dry work. A work should be translated keeping the sense and social environment of the original work, identity. Only when we overcome the mental limitations, we can enter into another work. A sense grows by making a subject, object and feeling our own.

Chancellor of Tumakuru University Nahida Zumjum said that Baraguru Ramachandrappa is a role model for all of us. IAS officer BR Jayaramaraje Urs is a role model for our career.  He said that in the chronicle of the Hena Horuvana Vrittanta, he has described the tradition of carrying the dead body.

Gundappa Kannada Study Center Head P Annamma said that the author of the work   is a bright talent. She said that more works should be given as contribution to the society.

Geetha Vasantha, Assistant Professor talked about the work and said that it can be observed that the discussion of legal education, political thought, all these are included. This work will introduce a new sensibility to Kannada.
