Must read

In a breakthrough investigation, the Bangalore police have apprehended a husband and his accomplice on charges of attempting to kill his wife by deliberately colliding her two-wheeler with a car. The incident occurred seven months ago, but the case was cracked due to diligent police work. The accused individuals have been identified as Arvind (24), a factory worker, and Uday Kumar (40), a driver. Arvind, who married Chaitanya (22) last year, resided in Hoskote. Police revealed that Chaitanya had been pressuring her husband to live separately from his parents, causing a rift between the couple and leading to marital discord. Arvind, seeking a divorce, approached Chaitanya, but she refused due to her pregnancy and subsequently returned to her parents’ house. With the intention of eliminating Chaitanya, Arvind paid Uday Rs 1.5 lakh to carry out the act. Detailed planning took place, intending to make the murder appear as an accident. Arvind purchased a used car specifically for this purpose and meticulously chose a location devoid of CCTV cameras. Recognizing Chaitanya’s daily routine of attending Bharatanatyam classes and returning home through the KIADB layout, Arvind decided that it was the opportune place to execute his plan. On January 1, as Chaitanya was heading home, she was struck by a scooter and the driver immediately fled the scene. Although Chaitanya sustained serious injuries in the accident, she fortunately managed to escape unhurt. A case was registered at the Devanahalli traffic station in connection with the incident. The police diligently searched for the car involved in the accident but initially found no leads.
