Senior officer of KVG Bank Ullasa Gunaga said that journalists who always strive for the progress of the society, should be physically and mentally fit. He was speaking while inaugurating the annual sports event organized by Dharwad Journalist Guild at R.N Shetty Stadium Dharwad. A journalist’s profession is always full of activity, always working under pressure. Journalists working in such conditions should always adopt a cheerful lifestyle. He said that such sports events help in adopting good health.
District Superintendent of Police Lokesha Jagalasar said that journalists who are always under the pressure of making news came together and held a sports event, which is a happy thing. In this way, everyone gets together and participates in sports activities, which increases self-confidence. He said that such activities should be done from above. Dharwad Journalist Guild President Dr. Basavaraj Hongal said that currently print media journalists are not limited to reporting only for newspapers. Being responsible for delivering news to the web and digital media, we are subjected to an ever-stressful lifestyle. Getting out of all this and getting involved in sports and recreational activities is the must of the day. He said that this will definitely bring some relief.
Guild’s sports committee president Nijaguni Dindalakoppa said that journalists should participate in this event with sportsmanship. He suggested that sports should be enjoyed as entertainment. All the members of the Guild were present, including Sports Committee member of the Guild, Senior Journalist Pundalik Hadapad, Basavaraj Hiremath, Ravikumar kagnaver, Ravish pavar, Manjunath Angadi, Rayasabha Ansari, manjunath kavali, Prashant lokapur, Saddam Mulla.
