Kalyana, Mumbai Karnataka Region To Get 4-5 Ministers Each, Mallikarjun Kharge

AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge said   that the cabinet expansion will take place soon and Kalyana Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka region will get four to five ministerial berths each.

Speaking to media persons in the city on Monday, he said, the Congress victory in the state assembly elections is a victory of the people of Karnataka.   The result is that we have got a majority. It is the responsibility of the government to fulfill the promises made to the people of the state during the elections.

A minimum number of ministerial berths were required along with the post of CM and Deputy CM for the announcement of the guarantee of the manifesto. So some people have taken the oath. The cabinet expansion will take place soon and Kalyana Karnataka will get four to five more ministerial berths and the Mumbai-Karnataka region will also get four-five ministerial berths.  

Speaking on the issue of assembly results impacting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Kharge said, if we see this decision of the people of the state, we will get a majority in the Lok Sabha elections in the state as well. Accordingly, efforts are being made in the direction of getting a majority across the country. Today, I have called a meeting of like-minded people of opposition parties at my residence in Delhi. There will be good news today. We are confident that we will get success, he said.
