Managing Director of Karnataka Bhovi Development Corporation, R. Leelavati, has filed a complaint alleging that Yogesh, the Deputy Commissioner of the BBMP’s administration, threatened her to rape. A case has been registered at the Basavanagudi police station.
“Yogesh, who came to the office on the 18th, suddenly entered my room. Earlier, he had been asked to be given the post of Managing Director of Bhovi Development Corporation. When asked to call the office staff, he noticed that no orders had been received from the government. “The complaint was made that he had insulted and used abusive language,” the police said.
“Yogesh, who came to the office on March 18 directly entered my cabin. He insisted me in a loud voice to elect him as Bhovi Development Authority Chief. When asked about it in the authority, they clarified me that there is no such order given. When I told him the fact, he harassed me with abusive words,” stated her complaint.
“Yogesh was drunk that day and tried to pull Leelavati. He blackmailed her to molest if he is not offered the position. Along with rape threat, he had also threatened her to death,” said the police.
“I was ordered by the government to take up the position. Hence, I went to the office and requested Leelavati on the same. She replied me as she was unaware of it. As she was not ready to give up on the desgination, I returned home,” justifies Yogesh.
Also he said, there is no truth in her complaint and will definitely face the police.
